Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.Rachel Carson
We felt honored to stay at Ashevillage (such lovely accommodations!), participate in the life and times of such an exciting place, and get to know you and the community. I feel so fortunate to have shown my daughter alternative lifestyles up close and lively; your openness, gracious ease of accommodation, generosity of spirit, sense of humor, positive outlook and passion for what you do (may I go on? your incredible taste buds and cooking talent, beautiful sense of artistry and love, which bring…Kathy and Kelsey Detwiler
I have been incorporating fermentation in everything. Just made yogurt cheese to be ready for Friday night’s book club dinner at our house. Everyday I make a new type of dish with some fermentation type of process. I ate a radish salad tonight that I never would have made if not for the class. What I also recall is the fun everyone had, and the good times of being together sharing skills. Good memories.Food As Medicine Workshop ParticipantEvery teacher’s passion made their subject matter feel profound — so much so, that every exemplary compost worm, foraged medicinal weed, and bacteria-filled speck of dirt had a voice too — and they spoke volumes. Ashevillage planted within me the seeds I so desperately needed to help me become a proactive citizen of the world and a mindful friend to the earth.Gracie, Resilient Workshop Participant
In Nature’s economy the currency is not money – it is life.Vandana Shiva
As a busy, widowed mother of 3 small children, I always felt too unsure of myself to safely experiment with fermentation and foraging at home. This intensive experience has demystified everything and I cant’ wait t begin feeding more nourishing foods to my family.Jennifer Wilkerson, Food As Medicine Workshop Participant
I chose to stay at Ashevillage to see and experience what they are co-creating there & also to support their community concept.Ann, Ashevillage Sanctuary guest
You will not meet a more heartfelt, dedicated team of teachers and assistants. You might even leave with a new community of friends to help you build that project you have always dreamed of.Michael, NBX Participant 2012
Ashevillage is such a beautiful example of all the teachings of permaculture. This is a living example of what’s possible for us to live in harmony with the earth. It’s really inspiring to be here and and to see it put into use and to see the community build something that can be an example for the rest of the world.Workshop Participant
